I’m returning my netbook – it is okay – but I just purchased it a few days ago and Amazon has since dropped the price. Also, Windows 7 Starter does NOT under any circumstances allow you to change your background. That is the most personal part of owning your own computer – desktop background.
THIS SHOULD BE POSTED EVERYWHERE AND MADE COMMON KNOWLEDGE.
I WOULD NEVER HAVE PURCHASED THIS NETBOOK.
I can’t believe it but I’m going to have to buy a Mac.
Lenovo is trying to get Microsoft to create a patch but they have refused so far. What jerks.

Well its been 6 days since i’ve ordered this product and as far as i can see its sitting in a truck somewhere in the u.s.coz after it was shipped from the factory theres no report of it being scanned anyplace else,I have ordered before from amazon and the shipping is the same while other companies get the products to you in a maximum of four days for the same amount of shipping and handling.

I purchase this as a gift for my mother and let me start by saying that the Floral Sea imprint of this Netbook is the best feature the rest is just average.
The hardware is pretty standard for Netbooks:
1.6GHz Intel N270 Atom Processor……………… Seems to work juts “OK” takes a long time to boot though
1GB (200-Pin) DDR2 SO-DIMM Memory…………. Kind of slow at time it could use 2GB of Ram
160GB 5400RPM Serial ATA Hard Drive………….. More than enough for a Netbook
802.11b/g Wireless Connectivity…………………. Works pretty good on my home Network (802.11 g/n)
10.1″ (1024×600) 16:9 LED Display………………. Good size for a Netbook but not great for long use
Intel GMA950 Graphics…………………………….. Plays very well youtube and standard definition videos
Windows 7 Starter Edition…………………………. Works well but there is little option for customization possibilities
Up to 6 Hours of Battery Life……………………… Not quite 6 Hours of Battery Life more like a solid 4 hours
Overall this is a good option but beware that you can get the same hardware for less money. My advise is to look into the acer aspire one line of Netbooks before you decide for this one. I purchase this one because my mother really like the Floral Sea imprint and in the spirit of Christmas I want to give her the Netbook she wants.

When I was looking for a netbook to buy, one of the key points I was looking for was battery life. I already have two other regular laptops, but they die within 2-3 hours. This thing has chugged along for 6+ hours, working great the whole time. Yes it can be a little slow at times and you don’t want to overload it with tasks, but it’s not ment to be a powerhouse gaming machine.
I got it for my wife to take to class for notes and homework. So far it works great for that exact task. It is also nice not needing to lug about a power cord and sit tethered to the wall. We also use it all over the house for movies, music, and web surfing. I’m contemplating getting another one for myself.

My 9 year old daughter loves this netbook. The size, look, and feel are great for her. There’s no office software included although a trial of MS office is pre-installed. Plan on buying the home and student version of office for kids’ schoolwork. The battery life seems very good, at least 5 hours or so. Speed is very good but boot up takes a little time (although better than windows vista). There are a lot of pre-installed offers for various services. I’d prefer that the didn’t put so much junk on the computer by default.
